Cara Edwards is BU’s steady, high-IQ backstop with sneaky on-base value
In the 2026 season, Cara Edwards earned 19 starts in 26 games for Boston University and posted eight hits, five RBIs, five runs, two doubles, nine walks and a .340 on-base percentage, helping BU win the Patriot League regular-season title and continue its conference dominance. She profiles as a reliable C/INF with a disciplined approach, multi-hit upside, and enough poise to handle meaningful innings behind the plate. The big selling point: she contributes beyond the box score, with contact, patience, and coachable versatility that play well on a winning team.
