experienced Ohio guard who brought steady scoring, steals, and veteran poise
In the 2022-23 season, DeVon Baker played 33 games and made 10 starts for Ohio, averaging 6.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 22 steals while shooting 37.7% from the field and 30.3% from three[1][3]. His value goes beyond the box score: he showed a knack for big moments, reaching 17 points in Ohio’s MAC semifinal against Toledo and adding multiple games with 15-plus points[1]. For a team, Baker profiles as a tough, experienced perimeter piece with defensive activity and enough shot-making to help stabilize a rotation[1][3].
