Reserve Mercer DB with special-teams upside
Wiggins has been a depth-piece defensive back for Mercer, appearing in two games as a redshirt freshman and contributing on special teams without recording stats, which suggests his value is currently tied more to assignment discipline and developmental upside than box-score production.[4] For a team, that makes him a fit if you want a coachable, low-ego defender who can compete for reps and help on special teams while he continues to grow into a larger role.[4]
