A steady UC Davis safety with proven game reps and special-teams value
Luis Amaral profiles as a reliable, physical safety for UC Davis, with an established history of game experience and special-teams impact rather than flashy production. In the 2003 season, he played in all 10 games and recorded 12 total tackles plus an interception, showing he can contribute as a disciplined secondary piece and not just a depth name. The appeal here is his steadiness, versatility, and willingness to do the dirty work—useful traits for a staff that values trust, positioning, and toughness.
