Luke Gombert brings a live arm and efficient backup QB upside to UIW
In the 2023 season, Luke Gombert showed a clean, low-mistake profile for UIW: he went 3-for-5 for 45 yards and a touchdown in his debut, including a 24-yard scoring strike, and ESPN lists him with 45 passing yards, 1 TD, and 0 interceptions. The takeaway: he’s a developmental quarterback with some functional mobility and a quick-release look, not a proven high-volume starter yet. If you’re looking for a poised, backup-friendly QB who can execute without forcing the ball, he’s worth a closer look.
