FIU’s steady special-teams footnote with a clutch-late legacy
Michael Cal’s FIU profile is a reminder that specialists matter: he was a redshirt senior punter/kicker for the Panthers, and FIU credits him with its special-teams records for a perfect 1-for-1 PAT career line in the school’s records archive. He’s not a stats monster, but his value is in reliability, roster flexibility, and doing the unglamorous work that keeps a team afloat. If you want a calm, dependable depth piece who can handle kicking duties without drama, Cal fits the mold.
