former Redbird DT with elite high-school pedigree, but no current Illinois State role found
Nick Rohrer’s profile is built more on his high-school résumé than recent college production: he arrived at Illinois State in 2002 as a decorated 6-0, 290-pound defensive tackle from Oak Creek, Wisconsin, where he was a three-time first-team all-state selection, Wisconsin Defensive Player of the Year, and school-record sack artist. Illinois State later reported he played seven games in 2002 with six tackles and one sack before leaving the program in January 2003. That means he’s not a current fit for a 2026 Redbirds depth chart, but his early profile screams disruptive interior power.
