Mercer's Elusive All-Purpose Dynamo and 2024 NFL Draft Prospect
Devron Harper, Mercer's dynamic 5'9", 170-lb WR, shattered school records with 293 all-purpose yards in a 55-14 rout of VMI, building on his 2021 sophomore explosion of 872 all-purpose yards (393 receiving on 24 catches, 1 TD) and 2022 unanimous All-SoCon nod as a Walter Payton Award finalist. Labeled one of college football's most elusive playmakers by NFL Draft Diamonds, his return ability, speed, and versatility make him a nightmare after the catch—perfect for teams needing a gadget weapon who flips field position and ignites offenses. No major injury flags; pure explosiveness screams Day 3 draft upside.
