Duquesne's Towering Mali Import with Elite Rebounding Pedigree
At 6-10, 240 lbs, Almamy Thiero brings West African hoops heritage as the father of Arkansas star Adou Thiero, boasting a high school legacy of 18.0 PPG and 12.0 RPG as a senior (MVP) and 14.0 RPG as a junior at Mt. Zion Academy. Now a Duquesne F/C in the 2025-26 season, he's logging modest 1.1 PPG and 2.1 RPG on 29.5% FG amid limited minutes, but his player development expertise as a coach and raw athleticism make him a gritty rebounder with untapped upside—perfect for teams needing physicality, intensity, and family basketball DNA without the prima donna vibe.
