Mississippi State linebacker still early in the spotlight
Akines is a Mississippi State linebacker with only limited recorded college production so far, including one solo tackle in ESPN’s current career stats, so his profile is still more about projection than proven box-score impact.[1] The appeal is his linebacker frame and SEC development environment: if he translates practice growth into game speed, he could become a useful depth piece or special-teams fit, but there isn’t enough public evidence yet to call him a finished product or a headline defender.[1][5]
