Joey Abbazia brings proven strikeout production and polish to FAU’s bullpen
Abbazia arrives at Florida Atlantic with a strong track record: in three seasons, he logged a 1.54 ERA and 117 strikeouts in 82 innings, and he was named the 2024 Class 4A-13 Pitcher of the Year.[1] His calling card is bat-missing ability, backed by consistent high-end results and strong high school dominance, including 74 strikeouts in one season.[2] He looks like a fit for teams that value command, competitiveness, and a pitcher who has already shown he can get outs in volume rather than just flash radar-gun velocity.[1][4]
