Promising Sooners LB Whose Career Was Cut Short by Concussions
Tay Evans was a 6-3, 235-pound outside linebacker from Allen, Texas who showed early promise at Oklahoma. The redshirt freshman recorded 8 tackles in limited 2015 action before winning the starting job in 2016. However, his career was tragically cut short by the third game of the 2016 season due to concussion-related issues. Despite the premature end to his playing career, Evans demonstrated resilience by completing both his bachelor's and master's degrees from OU and transitioning successfully into a career in human resources.
