Veteran, efficient, and academically elite: LaFalce’s Western Illinois calling card
Steve LaFalce was a high-volume, high-efficiency Western Illinois quarterback whose career profile still pops: 6,512 passing yards, a .616 completion rate, 30 consecutive starts, and 12 rushing touchdowns, with 2005 All-Gateway recognition underscoring his production and steadiness. In the 2005 season, he led the Gateway in completions and ranked third in passing yards, while also showing big-play punch with a 98-yard touchdown strike. The fit question? He projects as a durable, cerebral distributor with toughness and leadership—more dependable engine than flashy highlight machine.
