Nygel Shamburger brings local-speed, two-sport toughness to Alabama State's backfield
Shamburger is a Vigor High product who arrived at Alabama State with a multi-sport background, which often translates to balance, quickness, and competitive toughness in space. His public bio shows he helped Vigor finish 11-4 and lettered in both football and soccer, a useful clue that he brings versatility and field vision rather than just straight-line power. There isn’t enough current statistical data in the sources to judge his 2026 form, but he profiles as a fit for a team valuing athleticism, open-field agility, and a hard-nosed, versatile running back room.
