Mike Higgins brings Rutgers a sturdy, veteran TE with trusted hands
In the 2025 season, Rutgers senior tight end Mike Higgins appeared in nine games and added a reliable, low-drama presence to the offense, with prior production of 5 catches for 36 yards in 2024[2][14]. At 6-foot-5 and about 255 pounds, he profiles as a big-bodied TE who can help in the run game and provide a steady target underneath[2][8][10]. The main appeal: experience, size, and a mature, academic-minded profile that suggests coachability and dependability—exactly the kind of glue guy who can fit a balanced offense[2].
