Charleston Southern’s Dual-Role Righty with Elite Intensity and a 6.82 ERA in 2026
Ryan Cole, a 6'4" right-handed pitcher for Charleston Southern, stands out as a rare dual-threat (1B/RHP) who combines a 0.976 OPS at the plate with 40 strikeouts as a pitcher in 2025. Though his 2026 ERA of 6.82 reflects early mound inconsistency, his intensity is unmatched—he logs 221 plate appearances with perfect fielding and a 38-to-25 BB/K ratio, signaling elite plate discipline and mental toughness. Cole’s differentiator isn’t just stats; it’s his relentless work ethic, adaptability, and ‘perfect fielding career’ that make him a high-upside fit for teams needing a versatile, battle-tested athlete who thrives under pressure. If you value grit over polish, Cole is your guy.
