Experienced Louisiana edge presence with Power 5 pedigree
McDowell is a seasoned Louisiana defensive lineman who brings real Power 5 experience from Ole Miss and a history of production, including 51 career tackles and 1.5 sacks in college action. In Louisiana’s 2018 signing release, he was described as an Under Armour All-American and a former top-111 national recruit, which signals high-end athletic traits and pedigree. The bigger draw is fit: he’s the kind of physical, battle-tested DL who can help a room with toughness, versatility, and grown-man edge-setting—not just stat-sheet flash.
