A versatile Fresno State linebacker with local roots and special-teams value
Tanner Blount is a Fresno State linebacker from Clovis who brings toughness, versatility, and value beyond the box score, though his 2023 production was limited to 11 games and three tackles while ESPN lists him with 9 solo tackles and no sacks, forced fumbles, or interceptions. [1][5] He was also noted in team and portal-related reporting as a linebacker who entered the transfer portal, which matters for any roster-fit evaluation because his next role likely depends on scheme, depth-chart opportunity, and special-teams usage rather than headline statistics.
