Jacoby Herring brings size and a proven JUCO resume, but his UMass impact was modest
Jacoby Herring’s best case is easy to see: at 6-4 and 170 pounds, he offered the Minutemen a long, outside target with JUCO production behind him, including 72 catches for 1,015 yards and 8 TDs at Riverside CC. In his 2017 season at UMass, he appeared in 10 games and made 7 catches for 81 yards, showing flashes but not high-volume usage. He looks like a developmental, red-zone-friendly receiver rather than a polished featured option, and the upside comes more from size and experience than explosive production.
