Salem Ward brings two-way value and ace-level poise for UNCG
In the 2026 season, Salem Ward is a high-impact pitcher/utility player for UNC Greensboro who pairs real circle production with sneaky offensive pop: she posted a 2.52 ERA, went 11-7 with two saves, and added career-best offensive numbers with 22 hits, 16 RBI, and a .863 OPS. Ward also showed swing-and-miss stuff with 47 strikeouts in 97.1 innings and earned Preseason All-SoCon Second Team honors in 2026, while her repeated Academic All-District recognition hints at a dependable, high-IQ competitor who can help a staff and a lineup alike.
