Cal Poly DL Prospect with Proven High School Pedigree and Pitching Versatility
Russ Havens, a Class of 2007 Cal Poly Mustangs defensive lineman, stands out from his 2006 Perfect Game profile as a top California infielder (state rank #11 IF, #80 overall) with strong hitting ability, elite defensive skills, and two-way pitching upside—rare athleticism that translates to explosive DL quickness and football intensity. No recent college stats available as of 2026, but his multi-sport pedigree suggests high motor, coachability, and NFL scout intrigue for teams needing versatile, high-energy front-seven depth. Ideal fit for programs valuing raw tools over polished production.
