Western Carolina linebacker with a defensive-impact profile
Lamar Barnes is a Western Carolina linebacker whose public college bio does not show current stat production, so the best read is that he is still more of a depth-and-development piece than a proven headline-maker; for comparison, his earlier West High School profile listed just 1 interception, suggesting a player whose value is likely tied more to instincts, physicality, and role fit than gaudy numbers. In a transfer/recruiting context, he’s worth caring about if you need a linebacker who can buy into a system, compete on special teams, and develop into a reliable run-support defender rather than an immediate splash-play star.
