Francis-Cedric Martel brought athletic pop and switchy forward energy to Richmond
In the 2008 season, Martel flashed as a versatile 6-foot-6 forward who paired athleticism with ball-handling, outside touch, and real rebounding juice, averaging 10.2 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.0 blocks per game. Richmond’s own preview called him a very athletic guard who could handle the ball and shoot a high percentage from three, and his highlight dunk later even landed on SportsCenter’s Top 10. He looks like a fit for teams that value tempo, toughness, and a multi-tool wing/forward who can make momentum plays.
