Injury-Tested DB with Elite Tackling Intensity for Utah Utes
Philip Afia, Utah's DB, stands out for his relentless intensity and tackling prowess despite a senior season marred by injury; he led all Utah linebackers with 54 tackles, six for loss, and three sacks in 2025, showcasing a Lamar Jackson-esque burst and defensive versatility that stats alone miss. His recovery from injury reveals grit, while his personality traits—fierce competitiveness and team-first mentality—make him a high-fit addition for any team seeking a DB who brings DB-level coverage with linebacker-level physicality. You should care because Afia delivers DB coverage with DB intensity, a rare differentiator that elevates defensive schemes beyond typical stats.
