Abi Brown brings pop, plate discipline, and clutch energy to South Dakota
In the 2026 season, South Dakota catcher Abi Brown looks like a real offensive spark plug with power in big moments and a bat that can heat up fast: she hit .244 with 3 home runs and 20 RBIs, and she was named Summit League Peak Performer of the Week after a weekend where she hit .636 with a double, triple, and homer. Brown also handled the primary catching duties, which matters because she pairs everyday durability with a strong offensive ceiling. Add in her 3.95 GPA and academic all-league recognition, and you’re getting a steady, high-upside fit who competes, produces, and doesn’t disappear when the pressure rises.
