Veteran power back with proven special-teams value
Gabriel Watson brings an old-school, downhill RB build at 6-foot-2, 235 pounds, plus a disciplined, team-first profile that showed up in his Texas stint as a special-teams contributor and Academic All-Big 12 selection in 2021. In his 2021 Texas season, he logged 10 carries for 37 yards after appearing in six games, so the appeal is less flashy stat volume and more reliable physicality, experience, and depth value. He’s a good fit for a team that wants toughness, maturity, and a plug-in veteran who won’t blink in the dirty work.
