Mike Wagner (1949-2026): Steel Curtain Legend, Not Princeton LB
No current college or high school athlete named Mike Wagner plays LB for Princeton Tigers; search reveals the late Pittsburgh Steelers safety (d. Feb 2026), a 1971 Western Illinois alum and 11th-round pick who tied NFL INT lead with 8 in 1973, earned 2 Pro Bowls, won 4 Super Bowls, and set Steelers playoff INT record (5, tied w/ Jack Ham)—a defensive dynamo whose pro greatness overshadows any active college profile.
