William Simpkins III is a developmental Virginia corner with upside, but little on-field production yet
Simpkins is still more projection than production at Virginia: ESPN lists just one tackle in his 2023 college stat line, and Virginia’s roster bio says he did not appear in games in 2021 or 2022[1][2]. The differentiator is that he offers a clean slate and cornerback size with room to grow, making him a depth-and-development fit rather than an instant-impact starter; based on the available public data, there is not yet enough verified film or production to label him a standout risk-free pickup[1][2].
