Youssoupha Kane brings NBA-sized length and defensive upside to Detroit Mercy
Youssoupha Kane is a 6-foot-9 forward who stands out more for his size, defensive projection, and basketball IQ than for polished offense; in Detroit coverage, he was described as “a little raw” but with “tremendous size” and a “very high basketball IQ,” with an expected immediate impact on defense. That profile makes him intriguing for teams needing rim protection, rebounding, and a high-motor interior presence, though his fit is best for programs willing to develop his offensive game.
