Payton Lambert brings steady, glove-first value for Santa Clara
In the 2026 season, Payton Lambert has been a disciplined, team-first outfielder for Santa Clara, with a profile built more on dependable at-bats, situational production and baseball IQ than loud tools. His Santa Clara bio shows 39 career games with 22 starts, a .222 career average, 11 runs, eight RBIs, four steals and two extra-base hits, while 2026 team stats list him at .256 with a .752 OPS, signaling modest but useful offensive growth. He also earned two straight WCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll nods, which fits the “reliable, coachable, low-drama” archetype teams love.
