proven New Mexico guard with steady floor-general instincts
Carey is best known as a reliable, pass-first guard who once ranked among New Mexico’s better point guards, starting 20 games in 2001-02 and later averaging 8.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 94 assists in a season at New Mexico. He brings experience, composure, and a feel for running offense more than flashy scoring, which makes him attractive for teams needing structure and ball security. The biggest differentiator is his basketball IQ and leadership profile; the main question is whether you need creation and organization more than a high-volume scorer.
