Martez Shabazz brings playmaking juice and special-teams upside for Minnesota
Shabazz is a high-motor DB who already flashed impact ability at Minnesota, including a 51-yard blocked-field-goal return touchdown against UNLV and three tackles with a tackle for loss in that game. His background points to ball production and disruption—at junior college, he posted 43 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 21 pass breakups, and an interception—so he profiles as a competitive, turnover-capable defender with special-teams value. If you want an energetic, versatile defensive back who can add instant value in multiple phases, he’s worth a close look.
