Efficient Buffalo guard with veteran feel and two-way grit
In the 2018-19 season, Dontay Caruthers was a highly efficient Buffalo Bulls guard who finished at 59.8% from the field, scored 23 points twice early, and even flashed playmaking with an eight-assist game in the MAC tournament[1][12]. His calling card is versatility: strong finishing, solid ball movement, and disruptive defense show up in the box score, while his 2018-19 production helped Buffalo’s high-powered attack keep humming[1][2]. If you want a guard who plays with toughness, makes smart reads, and can fill multiple gaps without needing the offense built around him, he’s the kind of steady, competitive piece that earns minutes quickly[1][10].
