Liberty's Rebounding Titan Turned NBA Assistant Coach
Alex McLean, the 6-8 Liberty Flames forward, capped his college career with 954 points (25th all-time), 557 rebounds (13th all-time), and a program-record 27 double-doubles, averaging 15.1 PTS and 8.8 REB at 55.2% FG in his final season. Known for gritty defense, relentless rebounding, and Bay Shore toughness—forged from late basketball starts and turning down Juilliard—he's a high-motor leader with pro grit. Now an NBA assistant with the Wizards after a 9-year overseas pro stint, he's a proven winner ideal for teams needing intense, versatile forwards.
