Alec Petrocelli brings old-school edge and walk-on grit to UNC
Alec Petrocelli is a 6-foot-3, 225-pound defensive end who came to North Carolina as a walk-on and earned early game action, which tells you a lot about his work ethic and toughness[1][7]. In the 2013 UNC roster notes, he was listed as a junior from Clearwater Central Catholic, with a background in weightlifting and track that hints at functional strength and explosion off the line[1][7]. He may not be a headline stat machine, but he fits the mold of a reliable, high-effort depth piece with enough athletic versatility to earn coaching trust[1][2].
