Nadia Chernich brings elite contact, proven winning pedigree and catching upside to SE Louisiana
Chernich is a compact, high-contact catcher whose resume stands out for production and consistency: SLU listed her as hitting .800 as a senior and .870 as a junior in high school, and she arrived with a reputation as an MLB Develops alum and a strong student-athlete profile (3.7 GPA). She also brings tournament experience, having been part of NCAA Tournament teams at Southeastern Louisiana, which matters for programs valuing competitiveness and composure under pressure. For teams, the fit is strongest if you want a disciplined, scrappy backstop who adds offensive reliability and clubhouse credibility.
