Jamal Ellis brings veteran Fresno State experience and playmaking juice to the secondary
Jamal Ellis is a seasoned Fresno State defensive back whose value has come from steadiness, toughness, and ball production rather than flash. In the 2016 season, he was credited with 47 tackles, 5 passes defended, and 2 interceptions, and Fresno State’s own coverage of the 2015 preseason noted he had already earned a reputation as a tough, active member of the DB room. That mix of experience, instinct, and willingness to compete suggests a player coaches can trust in pressuring throws and stabilizing a secondary.
