steady ETSU guard with defensive activity and low-usage composure
Ann Marie Gates is a depth guard for East Tennessee State whose 2024-25 stat line showed modest offense but useful defensive activity, including 0.8 steals per game alongside 1.9 points and 0.6 assists per game.[3] The case for caring about her is fit: she looks like a low-usage, energy-first point guard who can pressure the ball, survive in rotation minutes, and bring structure without needing touches.[3] The main limitation is that publicly available data is thin, so there is not enough evidence here to project major scoring upside or a featured offensive role.[3]
