Brevin Smith brings two-way versatility and immediate innings value to YSU
Brevin Smith is a senior two-way player for Youngstown State who gives the Penguins real roster flexibility as an IF/RHP. In 2026, he logged 9 strikeouts in 10.1 innings over his early pitching work, and YSU noted he was a proven Division II transfer who had been named Savannah State’s MVP in 2025 after a strong two-way track record. The big sell: he can help on both sides of the ball, competes with toughness, and looks like the kind of low-drama, high-utility piece that fits a program needing dependable depth and competitive edge.
