Veteran South Carolina State DB Phillip Henry brings size, experience, and All-MEAC pedigree
Phillip Henry is a long, physical defensive back for South Carolina State who earned first-team All-MEAC honors in the 2016 season, a strong signal that he was trusted in big conference moments. At 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds, he brings rare size for the secondary, plus the kind of veteran poise and special-teams/Pro Day buzz that coaches love in a gritty defensive back. If you want a DB who plays older than the moment and fits a physical, assignment-sound defense, Henry looks like a solid fit.
