Christopher Scruggs brings size, pedigree, and under-the-radar upside to Southern Miss
Scruggs is a 6-foot-2, 191-pound linebacker prospect with a three-star recruiting pedigree and a strong prep track record that included 725 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns as a junior before he shifted into football’s more physical lanes. His appeal is his athletic background, length, and development upside rather than a long stat sheet, so he fits best as a high-upside depth add who can grow into a special-teams and rotational role if he sharpens his consistency and tackling presence.
