Braxton Gunther brings playmaking burst and veteran safety instincts to Weber State
Gunther is a compact, physical safety with a track record of creating momentum-shifting plays, including interception returns for touchdowns, which hints at strong ball skills and urgency in space. Listed at 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds, he profiles as an active, competitive defensive back who can add turnover value and special-teams toughness more than pure size. His appeal is the kind coaches love: instinctive, experienced, and capable of turning a routine snap into a big play, making him a fit for a defense that values reliability, effort, and splash potential.
