veteran Mountaineers guard with program roots and steady floor presence
A.J. Highsmith is a veteran App State guard whose value is tied to experience, continuity, and knowing how to fit a college system rather than flashy box-score volume. App State’s roster and archive listings show him as a 6-foot-4 guard from Winston-Salem, N.C., with deep familiarity in the program, which usually matters when a staff wants a reliable decision-maker and locker-room stabilizer.[1][2] He looks like the kind of player coaches trust: mature, steady, and likely to bring composure, spacing, and utility over headline-grabbing stats.[1][2]
