Jake Jones gives Central Arkansas a durable, strikeout-capable arm with starting experience
In the 2025 season, Jake Jones logged 31 innings with 34 strikeouts and three starts for Central Arkansas, showing enough swing-and-miss stuff to matter even when the run prevention isn’t spotless; his 2026 roster profile also lists a 2025 line of 51 innings, 42 strikeouts, 4 wins, 1 save, and a 5.82 ERA, suggesting a pitcher the Bears trust in multiple roles. He fits as a useful staff piece if you want a versatile, competitive right arm with proven workload and bat-missing ability, though the results indicate he’s more of a steady contributor than a polished shut-down ace.
