Elon’s proven, home-run-capable senior back
In the 2009 season, Brandon Newsome was a steady, productive feature back for Elon, rushing 105 times for 455 yards and a team-high 7 touchdowns while adding 12 catches for 117 yards, which shows he can finish drives and help in the passing game. Earlier at Elon, he peaked at 931 rushing yards in the 2008 season and 1,624 career rushing yards, so the résumé says “experienced playmaker,” not just “depth piece.” His value is compact power, reliable scoring punch, and veteran savvy—good fit if a team wants a back who understands leverage and can be trusted near the goal line.
