Norfolk State’s Work-Rate Defensive Lineman with Upside
Rafael Butts is a Norfolk State defensive lineman who profiles as a high-effort interior presence, but there isn’t enough publicly available stat detail here to credibly claim breakout production in the 2026 season. What stands out most is the fit: DLs like Butts matter when they can hold gaps, absorb blocks, and keep the front honest so linebackers can flow freely. If your team wants a rugged, physical trench player with potential value as a system fit rather than a headline stat-sheet star, Butts is worth a closer look.
