Louisiana Tech's Explosive 5'7" Punt Return Dynamo Turned CFL Rookie
Davon 'Smoke' Harris electrified Louisiana Tech as a C-USA All-First Team punt returner in 2022, leading Conference USA with a 67-yard TD return at UTEP—the longest in league history—and ranking 7th nationally at 12.4 yards per return in 2024; this undersized speedster (5'7", 183 lbs) amassed 208 all-purpose yards vs. WKU, showcasing elite quickness, ball skills, and game-breaking intensity that make him a special teams weapon and gadget playmaker. Now a 2024 CFL Tiger-Cat rookie with 1 catch for 8 yards in 5 games, his compact frame demands creative schemes but guarantees highlight-reel returns—perfect for teams needing a dynamic returner with proven college pop.
