Malachi Nelson gives Syracuse a high-upside, big-arm QB with real bounce-back juice
In the 2026 season, Malachi Nelson arrives at Syracuse as a former No. 1 recruit with starter experience at USC, Boise State, and UTEP, bringing 1,291 career passing yards and 8 touchdowns in 10 games before this fall. He stands out for his strongest arm in the quarterback room and rare athleticism, but the bigger story is his resilience: after a turbulent start to college, he’s now viewed as a live competition piece in Syracuse’s QB room rather than just a depth add. If your team wants upside, toughness, and a quarterback still chasing his best form, Nelson is worth a serious look.
