Shakierya McClendon brings veteran guard polish and defensive pop to Grambling
Shakierya McClendon’s profile fits the “steady, savvy guard” mold: in her Grambling career she averaged 8.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game, with a career 38.9% field-goal mark, showing she can score efficiently while helping as a connective playmaker[2][4]. In Grambling’s 2014-15 run, she posted 7.9 points and 2.9 assists per game and had games like a 13-point outing against Auburn, plus multiple steals against Arizona, which hints at a guard who plays with energy and disruption[3][8][14]. If you want a tough, experienced backcourt piece who can create a little offense and bring edge on defense, she’s the kind of player coaches usually love having around[2][4].
