undersized but disruptive run-stopper for Fresno State
Charles Tolbert is a compact, high-motor defensive tackle who earned praise at Fresno State for being a stable, tenacious run defender and a player who can squeeze gaps with effort more than flash. In his best season noted by the program, he played in all 12 games, started four, and posted 16 tackles with four tackles for loss, two sacks, and two forced fumbles. That profile screams toughness and reliability: not a stat-padding showpiece, but the kind of interior lineman coaches trust when the game turns muddy.
